New Commodore 64C Molds

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1670214687/original-commodore-64c-c...

How many revisions to the case where there and will these fit my C-64c?

It is kind of interesting to see what happened to a piece of Commodore history.

Someone on Facebook also said he has the C128 mold but it isn't confirmed.

If he has the mold to the flat C128, that would be very exciting!

Oh, thank you for your support. When C64 production was stopped in 1992, I'm sure that CBM was not thinking of the user groups. In fact, CBM did little to support the users after Jack Tramiel left in 1984. Yes, they were glad to sell us the hardware, but they did not want to listen to us. Then when CBM went bankrupt in 1994, the creditors and courts split apart the CBM assets, not giving any thought to the user groups but only to those who had the most cash. After the bankruptcy, the Commodore name and its 8-bit tech went one way, and the Amiga name and its 32-bit tech went another way.

There is no coordinated effort to replicating the C= 8-bit technology. There are the FPGA solutions, like MiST, MCC-216, and Turbo Chameleon, but those treat the C64 and the other various cores as gaming systems. Then there are the efforts to make new versions of the boards, like Dave Maurer's prototype C64 ATX board and the talk of a new C65 board.

That is too bad he hasn't given a reply to you. I hope he tells more in the future.
